April Speaker: Rene Baba

Bay Area jewelry artist Rene Baba has been crafting wearable art for over 25 years. For most of those years, making jewelry was a casual hobby and simply a way of making gifts for friends and family. In 2010, a friend convinced Rene to open an Etsy shop and the experience showed her that selling jewelry is more than a hobby, it’s an adventure! She was approached by a company to mass produce for large companies like Nordstrom and Anthropologie. She has experience selling locally in the Bay Area at places such as the Oakland Museum, local wineries Rosenblum and Rockwall and even concert venue,

The New Parish, through the years she has worked with many materials. Gemstones, metal, leather and wood being particular favorites. Currently focused on one-of-a-kind designs, metal stamping and wire-wrapping, Rene is excited about developing more skills to take her jewelry to the next level. We are certain you’ll find Rene’s story relatable and enjoy her shared insights, tips, and inspirations with BSNC members. Her jewelry will be available for purchase.
